L’ISNVD è stata fondata per promuovere e coordinare la ricerca scientifica su un argomento nuovo ed affascinante: il background vascolare, venoso in particolare, di una serie di malattie neurologiche. A tal fine la Società incoraggia lo scambio di informazioni e di idee, e fornisce una formazione continua su questa nuova area emergente.
L’ISNVD fornisce un forum per la vasta gamma di medici specialisti: scienziati di base, chirurghi vascolari ed angiologi, neurologi e neurochirurghi, radiologi interventisti, neuroradiologi, fisici, tecnologi vascolari ed altri.
E’ necessario un impegno interdisciplinare, con consapevolezza metodologica e conoscenze aggiornate, per comprendere meglio la componente vascolare delle malattie neurologiche.
L’obiettivo generale della conferenza è quello di concentrarsi sulla diagnostica ecografica e di risonanza magnetica dell’insufficienza venosa del cervello e del midollo spinale, le relazioni sulle sperimentazioni cliniche per il trattamento dell’insufficienza venosa cronica cerebro spinale (CCSVI), e l’evidenza delle patologie venose negli scenari delle malattie neurologiche non-SM. La conferenza sarà speciale in quanto si prevede di includere nel programma anche sessioni formative dedicate alla gestione dell’ictus acuto.
La conferenza si svolgerà sotto il patrocinio del sindaco della città di Cracovia, Jacek Majchrowski.
